INTRODUCTION
The Piedmont Cancer Registry , City of Turin , covers a population of 910,504 inhabitants at 31.12.2009. The Registry started collecting incident cases in 1985.
The period of observation is now long enough to allow the evaluation of time trends in incidence, mortality and 5-year survival; 20-year observed prevalence is also available, and on this basis the total prevalence has been estimated.
All these indicators are provided through tables and graphs along the series of standard tables in this section of the web-site. The most of the above data are updated annually.
A new section with age-specific rates has been added for both incidence and mortality figures (see Methods and Indicators Section).
