The new publication "European Guide on Quality Improvement for Comprehensive Cancer Control", developed by CanCon, the joint European action on cancer, aims to provide recommendations on how to increase Europe's control actions on cancer.

The book is the result of three years of work conducted by a team of experts from 25 countries and 126 partner organizations. The authors point out the guide as an effective control, in addition to mean real savings in terms of time and money, it is able to protect the health of the people and increase their quality of life.

Every year in Europe, about 2.6 million people are facing a cancer diagnosis, but more and more cancer patients are able to overcome the disease.
Thus increasing attention should be given to access to care, to primary and secondary prevention, early detection, rehabilitation and survival.
