On June 8, from 12:30 to 14:00, in the Hospital “San Giovanni Antica Sede”, Silvia Franceschi, special advisor of the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), will give a talk on “Thyroid cancer: case or diagnosis epidemic?”.
In the seminar, possible causes and implications of the current TC epidemic will be discussed. A comparison of the shape of age-specific incidence rates in different countries and time periods will be used to estimate the impact of diagnostic changes.
