The fight against health inequalities also declines in the sphere of secondary prevention activities. It will be discussed in a meeting organized in Turin on the occasion of the World Day for the Elimination of Uterine Cervical Cancer.
The Epidemiology and Screening Structure of the AOU Città della Salute e della Scienza di Torino, in concert with the Order of Doctors of Turin, promotes an awareness-raising day in favor of disadvantaged women, in collaboration with Sermig and the association Camminare Insieme.
The meeting has been organized to sensibilize women who belong to the most disadvantaged groups, through the mediation of associations operating in the area for the benefit of these population groups, about the possibilities of cervical cancer prevention.
The event will give the opportunity for a comparison between the operators who manage the activity of screening, the mediators of the associations and the women beneficiaries of the initiative.
