The Annual Report 2013 on the cancer screening programs of Piedmont Region "Prevenzione Serena" has already been published. The report presents the results of the 2012 activity for breast, cervical and colorectal cancer screening and describes some issues relating to organization, quality, innovation and communication.

The Associazione Alessandro Liberati annual meeting will be dedicated to communication to public of research methods and results, an issue extensively discussed today, on which the Cochrane Collaboration hosted a long lasting debate.

Among these, electromagnetic fields (EMF) are one of the most widespread, and their application in new technologies continues to grow, with novel uses being actively developed and commercialised. Although there is some concern among the public and public health professionals alike about possible health effects related to EMF, results of studies to date are inconsistent.
