CHICOS project symposium in Parma, Italy, on March 11th, 2010

CHICOS project outlined at the symposium “Children’s health and the environment: How does current European research respond to public health priorities?”, on March 11th, 2010, in Parma (Italy).

The event provided an opportunity to discuss future needs for environmental health research and how the research respond to public health priorities.

Ongoing EU funded research projects dealing with environmental effects on children’s health were presented as examples of research that should underpin future public health policies. The discussion encompassed the views of the presenting researchers and 3 invited policy-makers in the areas of environment and health and focused on future research needs and what information policy-makers need to obtain from research in order to proceed with public health policies.
