The XXX edition of the Summer Course in Epidemiology organized by the European Educational Programme in Epidemiology (EEPE) will be held in Florence from June 18 to July 6, 2018.

The course is taught by an international faculty and involves students from all over the world, in three weeks providing an overview of epidemiological and biostatistical methods, from planning and carrying out studies to data analysis and interpretation of the results.

In the third week, students can choose from several thematic modules, including advanced methods of analysis, advanced concepts in epidemiology, genetic epidemiology, disease burden, uncertainty and risk communication, clinical epidemiology, epidemiology etiological, causal mediation analysis, environmental epidemiology.

Four  thematic courses will be held in the week 11 to 15 June:

  • GIS (Geographic Information Systems) in Epidemiology;
  • Principles of prevention: revisiting population and individual approaches in the “omics” and big data era;
  • Modern methods in occupational epidemiology;
  • Geo-spatial methods for global health applications.

These courses can be attended regardless of the frequency of the 3-week course.
