The activation and evaluation of ERAS protocols in Piedmont begins in gynecological and colorectal surgery. The initiative, which is part of the wider scope of the EASY-NET project, aims to improve postoperative recovery parameters.

ERAS is a multidisciplinary perioperative management program that involves the presence of a team composed of surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, dieticians with the shared goal of preserving as much as possible the physical and functional integrity of the patient's organism.

The evaluation of the results of the ERAS protocol implementation on a regional scale is part of the wider EASY-NET project, funded by the Ministry of Health and the Piedmont Region. The cornerstone of EASY-NET: improving the quality of care and reducing inequalities of access to effective treatment in different clinical and organizational settings.
