On the occasion of the Autumn Conference of the Italian Association of Epidemiology (AIE), the 2023 Leonardo Ventura Prize was awarded to Chiara Moccia, doctoral student at the Epidemiology Unit of the University of Turin, with the study " Paracetamol in pregnancy and risk of wheezing during childhood: an application of the TMLE".
The fundraising promoted by friends and colleagues of Leonardo Ventura, a statistician at ISPRO in Florence who died prematurely two years ago, made it possible to establish the Leonardo Ventura prize aimed at valorising the research work carried out by young epidemiologists.
